The songs Alkaline recommended are good as well. You’re probably at least familiar with Sleep All Summer due to the National / St. Vincent cover, and Call to Love I would say is their poppiest track.
I also recommend Red Devil Dawn as a good place to start. I haven’t heard Bring on the Snakes, though.
So far all 3 Frightened Rabbit songs released for the new album have been on repeat for me. They are all amazing. The end of Lump Street with the drums has a big National feel to me. Ugh can’t wait for this thing. Get Out is one of my favorite songs in a long time.
I am still avoiding the singles, but I have seen a live video on youtube of Scott playing “An Otherwise Disappointing Life” solo, which sounded ok. Reactions to the singles I’ve read have all been very positive, though, so I am optimistic.
I’m really looking forward to the new Land of Talk album, which comes out next week. It’s been a while since new Land of Talk material. I’ve been frequently listening to the singles released so far and they just make me more excited to hear this thing in full.
