The Oscars looked like bags of fun this year. Makes a little change.

I know the new season started a week ago, but Portlandia is back! 😀

I’ve gotten rid of my cable (and more importantly my cable bill) so I haven’t seen it yet. Is there a good online source?

I was just watching the new Netflix show called The OA and was very happy / surprised to see that Sharon Van Etten is in it (starting in episode 3 or 4). She even songs a song which was very nice. The show is pretty interesting so far, but I’ve heard mixed reviews about the ending. We’ll see….

Of this year’s new series The Night Of and Sneaky Pete stand out for me although Series 2 of Billions continues as the dog’s bollocks.
Vinyl evoked the era but was a tad long winded – much like producer Mick Jagger.

Been watching Ozark recently and it’s pretty good. Jason Bateman makes some good TV.

Jimbo – I liked the first season of Ozark and am pleased it is being renewed although I think it is an inferior beast to Breaking Bad & Better Call Saul , shows the critics have compared it with.
The show-runner is the same dude who contrived Justified and I see similarities. I thought Justified was great and (at the same time) was also a fan of Banshee – although I felt it could have used a little more violence in it’s content.

I should have added that it is an absolute delight to have Larry David back with Season 09 Curb Your Enthusiasm.
His view of the world is similar to mine.

Oh my god, I haven’t seen it yet – is it as good as it always was?

Yeah Larry has a Fatwa put on him by the Iranian Ayatollah – two episodes have aired thus far but eps 2-4 were leaked so I have to wait a couple of weeks to see what comes next.
Best thing so far was that LD was going about in disguise with long grey hair and a moustache – looked cool!
