So, the idea has been bouncing around for a while to do one of these tables, similar to that of NPR’s Previously, on Arrested Development: http://apps.npr.org/arrested-development/

I’ve started a spreadsheet, and if anyone is that crazy/bored/obsessed and wants to fill it in, feel free to do so.

Themes go on the top (need to be filled in) and the songs down the left. It’s not yet comprehensive but would be quite an accomplishment if we were to fill this in.

It could prove pretty useful in conjunction with this game!:

So, I came up with “The National drinking game.” You drink every time they mention wine, cake, flowers, or death. Or, you can mix it up based on the album. I notice Matt says cry a lot in TWFM. :)

I had more fun filling this out than I can even say. I think the “cars” category is all nailed down, might have missed one or two.

I just checked – you missed Geese on that one!

It is major dorkish fun. Glad you enjoyed it!

I think you are forgetting “bees”.

Now, it’ll be interesting trying to figure out what all those themes symbolize.

Okay, so for water – are we just counting the word water? Or any songs that have water (ocean, river, etc.) as a theme?

This is so obsessive and dorky.

    I love it, well done.

Should Jenny or Jennifer be one of the column headings?

This is my favorite thing on this forum all year. I love the collaborative nerdiness. Whoever started entering words in the general columns is genius. I also love whoever did “High (getting)” just so we wouldn’t confuse drugs with height off the ground.

Guh, it didn’t even occur to me to put the words/lyrics in the spreadsheet and not just “x” everything.

I’m not sure how to get it to save, so I’ll just put it here. “Racing like a Pro” needs to be checked as a “cake song,” and I believe Sorrow needs to be unchecked. I think the lyric is “girl inside my cave” (even though I like cake better).

I added in a column for proper names at the far right.
