I am probably not the ideal person to ask. I had all Lou’s albums on vinyl back in the 80s and then I moved across the country several times. I loved his music so much in my early 20s that I listened to it to the point of saturation and beyond, so there haven’t been many occasions where I’ve felt the need to re-own most of it. I have Street Hassle, the live Velvets reunion thing, VU and Nico, Songs for Drella, Rock’n’Roll Heart and a couple of others. Gus and I saw Lou live when we were together the first time – 1986, I think – interestingly, at the same venue where I just saw TN this summer.
Oh yeah, and Lulu. Because.

Oh yeah, and favorite songs…god, so many. Street Hassle all time favorite. Heroin. All Tomorrow’s Parties. I’ll Be Your Mirror (the live version where Lou sings). Banging on My Drum. Disco Mystic. (I have a strong love for the charmingly stupid songs). Caroline Says II. Most of Songs for Drella.
The only recording of his that I’ve heard since Magic and Loss is Lulu, so I’ve missed a fair bit in there.
