Damn, been triggered by the whole Cherry Tree thing again. Why do we have to pay to be fans when we have supported this band so fervently so long?
Already raised this with management when it kicked off and got so cross I couldn’t reply to their response.

Iamspirals – it’s truly remarkable how they’re managed to isolate any long term handcore fans but unrolling this. Most of the people here have been pushed away, and with reason too – it’s fast becoming loathing when a quick buck seems to be priority – especially when there is an all seeing eye knowing that actually, it isn’t okay and people are deeply saddened by it all.
There are at least two distinct issues here. The first is the right way to treat long-time, loyal, hardcore fans. The second is how to run a pre-sale for members of a paid fan club. I was reluctantly willing to fork over the $50 USD to join the paid fan club just so I could get a pre-sale code for the upcoming Beacon Theatre show. However, I could not join the fan club because of system issues! Then, my understanding from reading other posts is that the pre-sale code didn’t even work for the Beacon, so that if I had been able to join the paid fan club I still would not have been able to successfully use the pre-sale code to acquire tickets. I prefer to believe it is mismanagement over malice, but either way it should not be this way.
