Everyone’s appreciation has been so overwhelming – like, really overwhelming and extremely touching. The sentiment and the feeling is real – the friends I have made on here have genuinely become like family, even some of those I haven’t met. I have experienced extreme kindness and generosity with no expectation of return, the love lost is definitely made up for in these places. The responses i’ve Received have been so kind.
I didn’t talk about it for 7 years(!) while I looked after things here because I always saw it as the epitome of being unprofessional, which has caused me to bite my Tounge on so many aspects – but hang on – who am I actually doing this for and why?

Pretty shit day today. My beautiful little brown fucker Franklin has finally reached his expiration. He has been a great dog (and a great avatar) for the past 10 years that I’ve had him and will be missed by many.

    Jimbo,
I too am really sorry to hear about the demise of Franklin. I guess that one small consolation is that in dog years he made it into old age & lived a damn good life. Hang tough.

Ah shit Jimbo, I am sorry to hear that. Will you keep him as your avatar so he can live on that way?

    Dear Logical Harm,

I want to thank you sincerely for all that you have done for this forum. Though we’ve never met in person, I feel I owe you a deep debt of gratitude. Through this forum you’ve enabled me to experience joy and pleasure, connect with far-flung and like-minded people, ask questions, learn and keep up on the progress of the band in a way that I would not have been able to otherwise. When I first became aware of The National, this is where I came for information and affirmation and nearly 12 years later it is still where I come for a “fix” after going to a show or listening to a new album. In that way, this forum has enhanced my life and given me an extra connection to the band, their music and their fans. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of that.

    Warm Regards,
    mgico

Oh wow! thank you so so very much. Really – the pleasure has been all mine. It’s really lovely to come back, to a sort of digital home where the same ‘faces’ pop up, even years apart – a sort of family we have here. Your works are so kind, and so so appreciated. No-one owes me thanks, but it means so incredibly much to be appreciated – the sentiment is shared for your input and visits. Thank you very much, really.

I’m so tired of looking through the window.
